Where do I add contacts to customers?

Plus Button > Contact

A contact is a person at a company with whom you'll need to meet and do business.


On Saleboat, you can add as many contacts as you need to distinguish between different conversations.

Click on the plus button in the bottom right of your screen:

Select Contact:

Choose which customer the contact belongs to from the drop-down

Next, fill in the information you wish to capture.

If they are the contact you will be meeting with or phoning regularly, check the primary contact box.

If they would like to receive marketing communication from your company, check the marketing communications check box.

Click ADD to add the contact.

​Remember: a contact is not a lead, prospect or client in Saleboat. It is a person.


If you select a primary contact and that contact needs to be deleted in the future, another primary contact will be set to the next most recently created contact.

If you only have 1 contact assigned to a customer, it cannot be deleted, as customers must have at least 1 contact to have meetings and calls with.
