Performance targets in Saleboat allow you to track both individual and collaborative targets using activities and actions that happen on Saleboat.
There are different types of targets that you should be aware of:
Individual Targets
Applied to one user at a time
Each user can have different sets of targets with values relevant to them
Created in a user's profile
Collaborative Team Targets
Can be applied to a whole team at once
Each user in the team can work towards achieving this target
The target is part of the larger team target
Managers can see who is contributing to the total target
Created in a team's profile (checkbox is left blank)
Grouped Individual Targets
Groups of individual targets
User target values can vary
Total group target updates based on changes to individual user targets
Created in a team's profile (checkbox is selected)
Each team and user has access to view their own targets:
Main Menu > Performance Targets
Main Menu > Profile > Performance Targets
but only Captains and Officers can make changes or add to these.
How do I add a new target for a user or team?
Add a new target for an individual user
Main Menu > Organisation > Users > User Profile > Performance Targets
In the user's profile, on the Performance Targets screen, click on CREATE
Choose the target type and value you'd like to set for the user
Choose either a period (recurring) OR a date range (once-off) for the target
Click on SUBMIT
Active targets will be at the top of the Performance Targets screen, and previous targets (where the date range or period has lapsed) will be below them on the same screen.
Previous targets can also be filtered:
You can filter by:
Target Type
Period (daily, weekly, etc)
Completion (complete or incomplete)
orStart and End date
Let's filter for 'Number of New Leads', which was a 'Daily' target for the user, but only the targets that were 'incomplete':
Add a new target for a team
Main Menu > Organisation > Teams > Team > Performance Targets
In the team's profile, on the Performance Targets screen, click on CREATE
Choose the target type and value you'd like to set for the team
Choose either a period (recurring) or a date range (once-off) for the target
Use the checkbox if each user needs to see this target in their profile (an individual target)
If the checkbox is left blank, the target will only be visible in the team profile
Click on SUBMIT
Below is an example of a collaborative target:
The team has a target of 50 closed deals by 31 March 2026
Each user on the team can work toward achieving the target
Each user does not have an individual target for this (50/4)
Below is an example of an individual user target:
40 New Deals must be achieved by 31 March 2026.
Each user has their own target of 10 deals.
There are 4 users in the team, so the total for Number of New Deals is 40 new deals for the team, with each user contributing 10 deals each
Targets and adding or removing users from a team
Any team or collaborative targets belong only to the team's users.
Removing a user from a team keeps any individual targets associated with the user, but removes team targets since those targets belong to the team.
Adding a user with no currently set targets to a team adds the team targets to the user's performance targets page.
