How to create and interact with deals on the Saleboat Android App

Updated over 3 years ago

What is a Deal?

A Deal is a record of the products or services in which a Prospect or Client is interested.

This provides an easy way of keeping track of the opportunity that you have with your Prospects and Clients.
Each Deal is placed into a Pipeline Stage and it contains products or services that make up its value.
This value forms part of your Sales Pipeline.

Deals get moved through the Pipeline based on where they are in your sales process. Once the Deal is closed, the value is removed from the pipeline & the record of the deal, its value and products or services is stored within the Client profile.

It is important to note that once a Deal is closed with a Prospect, it becomes a Client.

For DEALS on the web, please click the button below:

How do I create a Deal?

You can create a deal the same way you would create anything else in Saleboat - by pressing the Plus Button.

Deals will be the top option from the Plus button.

After pressing Create Deal, you will see this screen.

Here you will need to select:

  • The correct prospect or client

  • The pipeline stage

  • The expected win date

  • The products or services that make up the value of the deal

You can edit the details of each item, making sure that it reflects the opportunity you have with the chosen prospect or client.

When everything has been added, you must press CREATE.

This creates the deal and attaches it to the prospect or client that you selected.

Where can I view all of my deals in the app?

Deals will be the second button on your Main Menu.
You can find Deals under the Dashboard button in the app.

Here you can see each of your open deals (or opportunities).

You will see basic information about each deal at a glance:

  • The client or prospect name.

  • When you expect the deal to be closed.

  • The opportunity value of the deal.

  • The pipeline stage that the deal is currently in.

Deals are arranged in stage order - from closest to closing at the top, to furthest from closing at the bottom.

Each stage is colour coded so that, at a glance, you can see where each deal is in your pipeline.
